The SameSun Backpacker Lodge in Kelowna is definitely more than just your average hostel! With every imaginable amenity, a fantastic central location and great staff, it is definitely the best hostel in the entire interior of British Columbia. The hostel could easily be mistaken for a hotel from the outside but it is designed for backpackers on the inside with a huge communal kitchen, clean dormitory rooms, private rooms with ensuites and cable TV, a great common area with internet booths, a TV room, free WiFi, and a massive outdoor BBQ patio area for all you sun sponges!
Within the hostel we have many things which will keep you entertained including pool table, ping pong, shuffle board, bubble hockey and even board games for those very rare rainy days. We also set up nightly events and activities for you to get out and socialize with the other like minded travelers such as beach volleyball, dinner nights, theme parties, wakeboarding, pub crawls and many other opportunities for fun so that you can be guaranteed life-long memories!
Situated in the heart of downtown, minutes from City Park with its golden lakeside beaches, and the central city shops, you are never far from the action. Kelownas downtown core is full of life: music, pubs, night clubs, grocery and clothing stores plus a wide variety of ethnic restaurants all within walking distance. Ask our staff for the best places to go to help book your wine-tasting or wakeboard adventure tour, or anything that may come to mind and they will always do their best to assist you.
There really isn't a better place to stay during summer so if you're into beaches, bods & broads, and good times then don't hesitate to come and check us out! We are also close to Silver Star and Big White Ski Resorts for all you winter folk!
